Saturday, December 31, 2016
4/11/17 - Well it's been 10 days since my last post and as promised I am showing the progress of our new playground equipment. Here the guys have started putting together the equipment.

4/12/17 - Some new activity has gone on today. The entrance of our driveway where it meets the road was finally paved. No, the rest of the driveway or parking area won't be paved at this point, it is too expensive to have it all done. This part at the road is a local requirement of some type.

7/13/17 - As promised, here are the pictures regarding our new church sign. Earlier in the day a backhoe dug a deep hole which will be filled with concrete for the sign to be mounted to. A guy from the sign company is building a frame for the anchor bolts so that the bolts will be sitting in the right place when the concrete is poured.
7/13/17 - It's hard to tell in the picture but the hole for the sign's foundation is about four feet deep or so.
7/13/17 - A wide shot of the area where the sign will be placed, you can see the church in the background.
7/13/17 - The guy working on the anchor bolt framework.
7/13/17 - A side view of the anchors and frame. The anchors are upside down, the parts sticking up will be down in the hole.
7/13/17 - An angled view, the anchors are a tall "J" shape.
7/14/17 - I'm back 24 hours later, it looks like the guy finished with the framework. It has to be inspected and approved before the concrete can be poured, that could take a couple of weeks.
7/14/17 - The guy covered the hole with a large tarp to keep out rain, animal or people until the concrete can be poured.
7/14/17 - I pulled the tarp back to see the anchor framework.
7/14/17 - You can see the bolt pattern where the sign's feet will be placed.

7/27/17 - After about a week and a half they finally came to pour the concrete.
7/27/17 - You can see they built a box around the hole so that the concrete can sit level on the slope of the hill.
7/31/17 - The sign installers were here earlier today and bolted the new sign in place. This is a wide angle shot from the end of the church's driveway.
7/31/17 - A narrow angle view from the driveway.
7/31/17 - A closer view of the sign. The sign is not connected to the power yet, I will have to find out where the power for it is coming from once it is wired.
8/1/17 - It took a while to figure out where the power for the sign was coming from but I am back the next day and got the sign powered up for the first time.
8/1/17 - The sign came programed with two pictures and our church's name, now I will have to figure out how to program it for different messages. This should be the last major component for our church construction project, if something else is added to our church at a later time I will update this gallery again. For now this concludes our new church's construction. Thanks for looking at our gallery. God bless.
